PunchStamp

Supershift compared

Supershift plans your shifts. PunchStamp proves them.

Supershift has the healthiest reviews in the category, about 5,700 ratings with only a small share negative, and a fair lifetime price. It is a schedule planner: rotations, calendar sync, who works when. PunchStamp is a time clock and record of the hours you actually worked. Many people use both.

Where a planner stops

Planned, not punched

A schedule shows the shift you were supposed to work. It does not record when you actually clocked in, stayed late or skipped lunch.

Pay is an estimate of the plan

Earnings are computed from scheduled hours and a rate. Daily overtime, double time, differentials and rounding are not what a planner is for.

No paper trail

If a paycheck is short, you need time-stamped punches, not a calendar.

When PunchStamp is the right tool

  1. 1

    Pay once, keep it forever

Lifetime is the hero price, shown next to annual on the one paywall screen. No weekly billing, no trial that flips to a subscription, no features taken away later.

  2. 2

Overtime that matches your pay stub

Each job carries its own rule set: weekly 40, daily 8, double time after 12, seventh day, night and weekend differentials. Actual and rounded minutes are shown side by side so you can see what the 7-minute rule costs you.

  3. 3

A record you can hand to someone

Every punch is time-stamped on your device. Edits keep the original. The PDF export has your name, employer, totals, notes and the edit log, with no watermark, on the free tier.

  4. 4

Your hours survive your next iPhone

iCloud backup with no account. Restore on a new phone and every shift is still there.

Frequently asked questions

Is Supershift a good app?

By its reviews, yes. It has one of the lowest shares of negative reviews among shift apps and a lifetime price. It is a schedule planner, so it is the right choice if your problem is knowing when you work, not proving how long you worked.

Can I use Supershift and PunchStamp together?

Yes. Plan rotations in Supershift and clock in and out in PunchStamp. PunchStamp's shift templates let you pre-fill a scheduled shift and adjust the actual times with one tap.

Does Supershift calculate overtime?

It estimates earnings from scheduled hours and a rate. It does not apply daily or weekly overtime thresholds, double time, seventh-day rules or differentials the way PunchStamp does per job.

Can I bring my old hours into PunchStamp?

Yes. Export a CSV from your current app if it allows it, or use the free time card calculator on this site to rebuild past weeks, then import the CSV into PunchStamp. If your old app locks export behind a paywall, screenshots of each week are enough to re-enter the hours.
